Let's start with the basics...
What is LoL?

League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arenavideo game developed and published by Riot Games forMicrosoft Windows and Mac OS X, inspired by the modDefense of the Ancients for the video game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. It is a free-to-play game, supported by micro-transactions. It was first announced on October 7, 2008, and released on October 27, 2009. League of Legendswas generally well received at release, and has grown in popularity in the years since. 

For you non-gamers, it's a game you play online and beat stuff up. :)

Now, what is Summoner School?

I spent most of my time looking at the in-game and team-game sections. They really break things down, but again, you'll be totally lost if you have no understanding of the game.
